Afterschool Wraparound Care Provision

Research into this provision has shown that:

  • They have a positive economic impact on families, with one third of parents
  • They have a positive impact on labour market participation
  • Out of school care also has a positive non-economic impact on families, including providing respite care, and crisis support during stressful episodes such as illness and bereavement

Benefits for Parents:

  • Reassurance that their children are safe and cared for in wrap around care in our school environment that they are familiar with.
  • Meets the needs of the family by enabling them to return to full /part or shift work or training.
  • Can be significantly cheaper than other forms of childcare
  • Are Ofsted-regulated, which means parents have peace of mind that their child is in a safe, protected environment.
  • Can instil a sense of continuity and security in a child, which is reinforced when school friends attend the club as well.
  • In some cases, can provide supervised help with homework. That means that it’s all done when your child returns home, helping parents to spend quality time with their children without those homework battles.
