Red Nose Day ‘11
The fun continued again this year and we are very proud to announce that all your wonderful efforts helped to raise hopping £256.98 in the process. Thank you for all your support.
On Friday 18th March, the whole school enjoyed dressing up in red for Red Nose Day. In previous weeks we had sold 180 red noses which had sold out very quickly!
Red Nose Day 2011
Miss Bertham led an assembly about the history of Comic Relief and how some of the money is used to help families in the UK and across the world.
We heard about a boy called Francis who lives in Uganda. He is not able to go to school and has little money. He enjoys playing football with his friends. Mrs Vigrass talked about her trip to Uganda and how different the schools are.
We were amazed at the funny things people do for money in aid of Comic Relief! Thorne’s mum and her friend shaved their hair off to raise money for the charity. In total the school raised £256.98. Thank you to every-one for taking part!
