The benefits that we hope to gain from these group meeting are:

In the first meeting, we began to prioritise what we felt we should concentrate at our meetings. These covered ways to improve communication to and from school; playground developments and anti-bullying; Curriculum developments and enrichment; safety and travelling to and from school. A new year brings some exciting new initiatives for our school, one of which is the development of our ‘Parents In Partnership’ (PIP) group.
We will be holding 6 PIP meetings each year, one per term, where the group will meet with Miss Bertham to discuss important issues and share ideas on the following areas:

• Improved communication

• Opportunities for parents/carers to share their ideas about school development

• Increased knowledge of the curriculum and understanding of children’s learning

• Enhanced partnership and teamwork between school and parents
