The benefits that we hope to gain from these group meeting are:
A new year brings some exciting new initiatives for our school, one of which is the development of our ‘Parents In Partnership’ (PIP) group. We hold 6 PIP meetings each year, one per term, where the group meets with Miss Bertham to discuss important issues and share ideas on the following areas:
• Improved communication
• Opportunities for parents/carers to share their ideas about school development
• Increased knowledge of the curriculum and understanding of children’s learning
• Enhanced partnership and teamwork between school and parents
Parents in Partnership is a group of parents/carers who meet once a term with the Head Teacher and Mrs Curtis (our Parent Link) to share ideas and discuss school developments. Your ideas and opinions are extremely important to us.
At one of our recent meetings, we discussed the Parent’s Hand-book and plans for the Royal Wedding Tea Party. We also looked at our School Development Plan and shared ideas about next year’s plan. We also enjoyed a cup of tea/coffee and a cake!
The second meeting of PiP will take place on Thursday 17th November at 2.30pm in the Mezzanine. A chance to share ideas about school development and enjoy a cup of tea!
We will be setting this year’s agenda and contributing to the school’s 3 year strategic plan.
All welcome.
