St Mary's Church
St Mary's church is central to life in Olveston. The school works closely with the church, the vicar and Diocese.
St Mary's is an old and beautiful church, much used and valued by the whole community. With over thirty people in the choir, it has a strong musical tradition, and there is also a Breakfast Club that meets in the school hall every Sunday for younger children and their parents. A number of groups meet in people's homes.
With over 160 on the electoral roll, we're a fairly lively and diverse lot, active in all sorts of ways, and served by a strong ministry team, both clergy and lay. We've recently redeveloped the facilities, but it's actually the people that matter, and the way that we worship God together.
An increasing number of concerts and community events take place in the church building and details of these will be on the church's own website and often on the Events page of this community website.
St. Mary's, Olveston has its own website which can be accessed here. Here you can find who's who, their contact details and all the latest news.
